With a seating capacity of 300, the Roxy is an ideal venue for movie festivals, private parties, events, concerts, movie showings, professional touring acts or local talent showcases.

The Roxy Theater

The Roxy has become a destination for tourists, movie historians and photographers seeking an eclectic location.

The Roxy has also become a fan favorite for movie producers from around the world attending Muskogee’s BareBones International Independent Film and Music Festival each April.

The Roxy stage has hosted performances of a Miss America (Shawntel Smith), Blues Hall Of Famer D.C. Minner, emerging super stars, The Swon Brothers and super star Carrie Underwood.

A PIECE OF HISTORY

Originally opened in 1948 as a movie theater, the Roxy re-opened in August 2001 as a multi-purpose venue.

Muskogee’s Roxy Theater is the only Roxy left in Oklahoma and one of the fewer than fifty surviving Roxy Theaters nationwide. It has become a destination for tourists, movie historians and photographers seeking an eclectic location.

camp roxy

Camp Roxy gives students – aged 6 to 16 – an opportunity to develop confidence, character and presentation skills through performances in music, dance, acting and art.

Our experienced staff, trained performers and educators understand that your campers want to look and sound their best and that being a member of a cast is about more than just the finished show, it’s about the journey, friendship, and the confidence your student gains.

Performance Camp (Ages 6-12)

From beginners to experienced. Each week is filled with fun, singing, dancing, acting and crafts. Themed dress-up days. Healthy team competitions. Students will learn the essentials of performing. Gain self-confidence and stage presence in an exciting way. Divided into unique age groups

  • CAMP TIMES FROM 1PM – 5PM
  • WEEK ONE: Elvis, the King of Rock and Roll

Roxy Arts Intensive (Ages 13-16)

Due to the one-on-one coaching, limited space is available

Workshop focused sessions. One-on-One time coaching allows the students to work with professionals to perfect skills in their preferred area of focus. Beginners are welcome. Professional performers, vocal coaches and choreographers will conduct workshops and one-on-one coaching. Experienced performers will act as counselors to guide the students in their journey.

The Roxy Theater is owned by a City of Muskogee Public Trust Authority and governed by a Volunteer Board of Directors. The Roxy relies on generous giving (both financial and volunteerism) to continue operations of this historic venue in the heart of Muskogee’s downtown. All donations are tax-deductible.

The Roxy is in the process of beginning a capital campaign to renovate the second and third stories. Please continue supporting the Roxy’s ongoing operations and Capital Campaign for Renovation. You can also support Muskogee’s Historic Roxy Theater as a Member, Advertiser, Patron or Sponsor. Our mission is to serve the citizens of Muskogee and Oklahoma and make Muskogee’s Historic Roxy a destination for history lovers, movie lovers and arthouse tourists.
